CareerBuilder
As the sole designer and writer of CareerBuilder (formerly JobsCentral), my main tasks were designing corporate brochures, media kits, magazine and newspaper advertisements, posters, buntings, billboards, web banners and eDMs. I also wrote content, edited and proofread written material for eDMs, articles, billboards and the like.
Key Tasks
In charge of the rebranding of JobsCentral to CareerBuilder. Single-handedly designed all material required for the rebranding.
Photographer when required for events, such as product launches, career fairs and campus events. Several have appeared in major newspapers.
Organizing the Mega Careers and Study Fair, campus career fairs, Malaysia's 100 Leading Graduate Employers Conference, and several product launches.
Engaging and educating thousands of jobseekers and employers about various aspects regarding talents, careers, games, products and surveys.
Minor video editing work. Received the Extra Mile Award several times.
Wrote and designed material for businesses, such as our brochure promoting CareerBuilder1, a talent network, to better communicate our products and changes, using infographics to educate and inform employers on the statistics of jobseekers in the market, as well as the tools we could offer to engage them.
Handled the rebranding of JobsCentral to CareerBuilder. I designed all of our material, carefully observing corporate guidelines in producing our letterheads, name cards, logos, websites and other media, digital and printed.
Developed and crafted material for our outreach to potential jobseekers, using pull up banners and pop-ups to promote the brand and our website, leading them to register as jobseekers and expand the pool of talents for our employers.
Designed and wrote ads in several magazines across the country, with an array of messages. In some cases, we highlighted up and coming industries, informing readers on specific aspects of the industry. Other times, we did it for brand awareness and exposure, depending on the need and audience of the material.
Along with the team, I helped to organize and develop the Mega Careers and Study Fair, a massive career and education fair that regularly attracted over 17,000 visitors each time and generated healthy revenue for the companies that took part, connecting jobseekers and employers across industries.
I also helped in handling affairs related to the Malaysia's 100 Leading Graduate Employers HR conferences and Awards Night, where businesses trained their employees in skillsets and learned from leading industry players in how to manage and attract talent, among others. The Awards Nights were a time to recognize and award businesses who were voted as top employers by tens of thousands of jobseekers across the nation.
